Winter 2019
As a family, we look back to a fantastic year: We were happily expecting
again, we were able to take a vision trip to Thailand to further discover Gods plan for us and where we celebrated our 3-year wedding anniversary.
In the meantime, Hannah is almost 18 months old. She is an enthusiastic and fun young lady who loves to play outdoors and sings and makes music all the time. She totally succeeds in keeping us on our toes.
On November 1st, we welcomed our beautiful son Judah Josiah. He came a
little early which caused some starting issues. He still has some catching up
to do but is on the right track. We are very grateful that he improved so fast
and all the good care he receives.
During this blessed year we were able to grow closer to God. We learned
even more as a family that our trust is in Him, He who made the heavens and the earth. He made that really clear to us in our home and in our church. He also showed us that this is the focal point of our mission plans. He builds the house, He takes care of the work in progress.
Therefore, we were happy that were able to attend a Third Culture Kid-day from InTo Mission on October 12th that had ‘Ready Set Go!’ as a theme. We received valuable information to prepare ourselves, and our children for this journey. It challenged us to think about the education our children will get and how we can plan for this.
Jesse also visited All Nations at the end of October. He attended an Open Day at this Bible College and discussed the possible options at the college for us as a family. He thought it was a good and worthwhile visit, from which we already benefit.
Starting now, we will split up our news- and prayer letter: in the newsletter you receive the general update about us and our plans once per trimester, the monthly prayer letter provides the praying partners from the prayer team with the current praise- and prayer requests. Do you wish to be part of this amazing team? Or do you just want to know more about what it means to become a prayer partner? Please, don’t hesitate to contact us.
How can you help?
New bank account number!
We often get the question asking if we can use financial support for this
journey. Currently we are saving for Bible College, and we try to get our
operation costs covered so all financial help is welcome. If you want to help
us, you can do this by single or monthly contribution to account number
NL53 ABNA 0513 3911 18 in the name of ‘Stichting OMF’, reference ‘gift’.
We are still looking for people to complete our homefrontteam. If you are
interested, please talk to us about it, we would love to tell you more!
We want to thank you for your support. Hopefully you already enjoyed
the Christmas Days and you can start the New Year in a fun way. We hope and pray it may be filled with the joy that only our Immanuel can offer!
